Established in 1984, Mitchell/Martin Inc. specializes in the recruitment of Contract and Permanent Information Technology, Allied Health and Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical professionals. MMI has earned the reputation for results and professionalism from clients and consultants.

Mitchell/Martin Inc (MMI) has been providing staff augmentation, permanent placement and payroll services to Fortune 500 clients for over 23 years. Located on Wall Street in New York City, 75% of our business is in the financial, insurance and investment banking communities. In IT, we are on the preferred vendor lists of most of the major financial firms. Our other 25% are commercial clients such as manufacturing, technology and non profit organizations. In our Clinical Division, we service most of the hospitals, schools, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers and many private practices in the NY Tri-state as well as many nationwide accounts in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology arena.
Although much of our business is in the NYC Tri-state area, we service our clients throughout the United States and Canada. Approximately 20% of our consultants are outside the New York Tri-state area. Over the past year, we have placed consultants on assignments in North Carolina, Massachusets, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Nevada, California and others.
Many consultants and clients may remember us as Essential Staffing Associates (ESA). ESA was the name we operated under when we first started our contract staffing division. Several years ago we decided to do away with the ESA name and operate exclusively as Mitchell/Martin Inc. Our Ownership and Management staffs are the same under MMI today as it was under ESA several years ago.
MMI is privately held, well managed and enjoys a strong balance sheet. Currently, our internal staff of full time employees includes a management team of six senior executives with an average tenure of 14 years. Gene Holtzman is the President and Sales Manager, Michael Church is Vice President of Staff Development, Matt Franklin is our Director of Recruiting, Joseph Schimpf is the Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Case is our Chief Operating Officer and Marie Ramano is the Vice President of our Clinical Division.
MMI's staff has extensive experience working within their unique communities and are well trained and utilize the best search technologies and methodologies for today's market. MMI utilize advanced search software throughout our organization. The recruiters develop extensive networks of candidates in all of their areas of specialty.
