Job Description

Application Programmer – Mississauga, ON – Contract – $65-75 Per HR

Join a dynamic environment in Mississauga, ON, as a Contract Application Programmer. This role focuses on developing and optimizing data pipelines for financial data processing using a range of technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development and big data processing within a TechFin setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines for processing large-scale financial data.
  • Lead projects involving credit risk analytics and stress testing processes.
  • Ensure efficient data storage and retrieval in big data platforms.
  • Implement best practices for performance tuning in data processing technologies.
  • Maintain code quality through testing and version control.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in software development with a focus on object-oriented programming.
  • 5 years of experience in database management systems, including both SQL and NoSQL.
  • 3 years of experience leading software development projects with multiple team members.
  • Experience in financial market and credit risk enterprise software systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced TechFin environment.
