Job Description

Application Programmer – Jersey City, NJ – Contract – $68-83 Per HR

Join a dynamic team as a Contract Application Programmer supporting the Market Risk Technology sector. This hybrid position requires a strong foundation in both business and technical domains, focusing on regulatory frameworks and risk metrics. You'll be collaborating on end-to-end IT change initiatives, utilizing generic technology tools for data analysis and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize product vision and roadmap, communicating effectively with stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaborate with business and risk managers to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Support IT change initiatives, implementing changes to risk processes, systems, and metrics.
  • Assist with analysis and testing of implementations.
  • Ensure project governance and control processes around project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of market risk metrics and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with technical delivery within Global Markets or Risk Technology at a large financial services company.
  • Effective communication skills with technical, business, and quantitative partners.
  • Experience in synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheet and database tools.
