The best staffing firms recruit and retain the best staff. Because this is a “people” business, those workers are usually “people” oriented people who care about others. That’s certainly true at MMI starting at the very top with our founder Gene Holtzman who got his start in social service and has since mastered the art of promoting a caring workplace culture.
Project TEACH
Showing their true MMI spirit, our Philippine branch recently reached out to a local organization catering to children with disabilities to bring a little joy and love in to their lives for Valentine’s Day. Project TEACH (Project Therapy, Education and Assimilation of Children with Handicap) is a community-based program that directly benefits indigent youth with disabilities. The goal of the Project TEACH is to give the kids a chance to assimilate within the community and grow up as a productive individual.
A Celebration of Happiness
Our team in the Manila office was touched by their mission and decided to organize an event to celebrate Valentine’s Day and give back to the local community. The celebration was attended by 20 children ages 3-8 years old, and the day was filled with fun, food and games. MMI staff also gave out gifts of educational toys and school supplies to promote learning and growth. We’re not sure who had more fun playing but judging by the smiles we’d say everyone enjoyed spending the day together.
Jan Quiambao, Operations Support Analyst for MMI said “The outreach activity of extending a hand to other people especially to those with special needs was quite a heartwarming sight. It was indeed an inspiring activity that encouraged each and every one of us to exercise making other people happy.”
We are all proud and inspired by our team in Manila and promise to carry the MMI spirit forward as we all endeavor to exercise making other people happy.
