    Tips to Protect Yourself:

    For Individual Candidates

Protecting yourself during the job search is critical. Here are some best practices:

    • Be cautious of unsolicited offers, especially those from recruiters you haven’t contacted directly.
    • Avoid moving conversations to unregulated platforms like WhatsApp or Telegram.
    • Keep your personal information secure and never share sensitive details, such as banking information or IDs, until you have verified the recruiter’s legitimacy.
    • Be wary of any request for payment. Legitimate companies do not charge candidates for job-related expenses.
    • Examine LinkedIn profiles carefully for red flags, such as incomplete profiles, limited connections, or accounts created recently.

      For Company Clients

Companies partnering with staffing agencies should also be vigilant:

      • Work only with verified staffing firms and always confirm the identity of representatives.
      • Educate internal teams about recruitment scams and how to identify them.
      • Use secure processes to verify candidate information and ensure all communications with staffing agencies occur through official channels.

Steps to Take If You Suspect Fraud:

If you believe you have been targeted by a scammer:

      1. Stop communication with the individual immediately.
      2. Avoid sharing any personal or financial information.
      3. Use our Recruiter Verification and Fraud Reporting Form to confirm the recruiter’s legitimacy and report any suspicious behavior.
      4. Report the incident to LinkedIn or the platform where the fraudulent activity occurred.
